Public Speaking video

Public Speaking

I've never sent a clip of a speaker before, because most just aren't that good. We'll Guy Kawasaki is that good. He's a great example for all caliber speakers.

Guy's presentation is just a piece down this page...

http://tinyurl.com/jyc5x

Here are some presentation points from his talk from a technique sense...

1. Confidence. He knows exactly who he is and what he does.

2. Clear. No sidebars or loss of thought.

3. Content. Usable info.

4. Contrarian. He says stuff that is not said openly, but most people think.

5. Common sense. It's not "deep thinking" but obvious. Too many speakers try to be profound.

6. Concise. You don't get the feeling that he's fishing, instead he's hauling you in.

7. Connecting. His use of humor and illustrations is near perfect.

8. Conversational. Guy doesn't have the "fake" sound that many "professional" speakers have.

9. Computer. No telling how many times he's given that speech, but he still has his notes on his computer right in front of him.

Those 9 elements can be used by anyone to become a better speaker.

Have a GREAT day!
